Wedding Videography FAQ
Everything couples usually ask before booking Alenka Films, a female-owned wedding videographer based in Philadelphia and filming across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the East Coast.
How much does a wedding videographer cost?
Collections start at $3,600 for 6 hours of coverage with a 4-minute cinematic highlight and a 30-second social teaser. The Gold ($4,200, 8 hours) and Platinum ($4,700, 10 hours with drone) collections add longer films and more coverage. Every package can be customized with add-ons like a 30+ minute documentary edit, full ceremony and reception edits, a second videographer or your raw footage. See all packages.
How soon will I get my teaser?
Your teaser typically arrives within one month or less, depending on the season and how many projects are in the queue, and it’s usually much sooner. I always try to exceed expectations.
How long until I get my highlight film?
Highlight films are delivered within 16 weeks at the latest, and I always aim to deliver sooner. Revision requests are welcome, so your film feels exactly right.
Do you charge travel fees?
No travel fees for weddings within about 2 hours of Philadelphia, which covers most of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. For weddings farther away, there may be a small travel fee to cover a nearby hotel stay.
How do we reserve our date?
Your date is reserved with a $1,000 deposit after the electronic contract is signed (for 2027 weddings). The remaining balance is due any time before your wedding day. I’m very easygoing about the schedule, as long as it’s paid before the big day.
How can we pay?
PayPal, Zelle or check, all with no fees. Credit cards are accepted through HoneyBook with a 3% convenience fee.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book about a year in advance, but I’ve also filmed for couples who booked just weeks before their wedding. As long as your date is open and we’re aligned on your vision, I’ll be there.
Will you be the one filming my wedding?
Yes. When you book Alenka Films, you get me, not an outsourced team. For larger weddings you can add a second videographer I trust and work with regularly.
How can one videographer cover everything?
I run multiple cameras throughout the day, including locked-off angles during the ceremony and speeches, so you get coverage from several perspectives even when I’m shooting solo.
Do you record audio for vows and speeches?
Yes. Professional audio recording is included in every collection, so your vows, toasts and speeches sound as good as they look.
Can I get my raw footage?
Yes, all raw footage files can be added for $500.
Can we add more after the wedding?
Absolutely. Many couples add a documentary edit or a full ceremony edit after seeing their highlight film.
Where do you film?
Mostly Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including Philadelphia, Bucks County and New Hope, the Main Line, South Jersey and the Jersey Shore, plus Delaware and the rest of the East Coast. See Philadelphia weddings, New Jersey weddings, Bucks County weddings and Main Line weddings.
